Pre-Ballet (ages 3-5)
Specially crafted for children from three to four years of age, M.A BALLET's Pre-Ballet programme is centred on the fundamentals of ballet, with a particular emphasis on coordination, as well as spatial awareness. To encourage a sense of rhythm and musicality, classical and instrumental music is used during the course.
At M.A BALLET, we believe that children are naturally creative, capable of communicating their thoughts and feelings in many ways. In addition to teaching the basics of ballet, our Pre-Ballet programme also aims to cultivate the students' natural creativity through fun movements and dancing with their friends, so as to help them discover how to express their personalities through dance.
Étude 1 (ages 5-7)
M.A. BALLET's Etude 1 teaches students aged 5-7 the essential abilities a dancer requires such as, stamina, core strength & flexibility. Students will undergo rigorous training & repetitive exercises that enable your child to prepare for learning the fundamental ballet training.
This program will allow students to amplify body intelligence & awareness. As part of our syllabus, students are introduced to customised barre training, in which slow plié and tendu are used to gradually expand the range, strength, and precision of students' movements.
Étude 2 (ages 8-11)
M.A. BALLET's Etude 2 will introduce intense dance training with intermediate techniques for children aged 7-10. At this stage, students will be taught to develop physical endurance.
This programme focuses on barre & centre techniques which includes swift combinations & routines. As such, students are expected to master core strength, stamina, concentration, flexibility & posture.
Students will also work on musicality which will enhance the elegance and quality of their movements. Combining the physical conditioning and technical training learnt at this level, we believe that our students will be very confident in their musicality and dancing ability by the end of this course.
